2007-2008 Season

This is our 20th Season!

Welcome Lee County Community Orchestra Enthusiast!

As we progress through the seasons, occasional concerts or programs emerge as
"most memorable" or outstanding. Our orchestra consistently strives to reach
beyond our goals and expectations. This season is the orchestras 20 th .
As a celebration, we are featuring works by living composers and hope to
bring them in to work with the orchestra and speak to our audiences.

Our ensemble, as a community volunteer group, always rises to the occasion and brings
a sensational series of concerts. I am proud to lead this orchestra for another year
of music making and sharing.

Performance Schedule:

“ Pop Goes the Season ” – featuring approachable popular music for all ages with the orchestra on display. Guest composer and conductor: Dr. Jack Jarrett

Saturday, October 20 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lee County Arts and Community Center
Sunday, October 21 – 3:00 p.m. at the Depot Park downtown Sanford , NC

" Ready, Set, Celebrate ” – get a jump start on the festivities and celebrate the season with us.
Guest Artists: Lee County Elementary Chorus

Saturday, December 1 – 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Lee County Arts and Community Center

“ Mainly Masterworks ” – classical masterworks including Debussy's
Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun.
Spotlight Artists: Jessica Traversino (flute) and Joe Hanna (harp)

Sunday, March 9 – 3:00 p.m. at the Lee County Arts and Community Center

American music with an emphasis on celebrating our military.
